Born July 29, 1916 in Waynesburg, he was the son of William and Minnie Phillips Shultz, and had lived in the Waynesburg area all his life.
Mr. Shultz was a 1938 graduate of Waynesburg High School and was a member of the First Christian Church, Waynesburg. He was employed for 24 years at the Mather Colliers, Mather, before its closing, and was employed for the past few years by the Mining Machine Parts, Inc., of Morgantown, W. Va., working in the Clarksburg, W. Va., Morgantown, W. Va., and Bridgeport area branches of that company.
Surviving him are four sisters, and three brothers. He never married.
