Abner Staats, 78, died at his home, 1512 South Tenth street, at 1:45 a.m. today after a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Ella Woods, of this city. Funeral services will be held in the Barta chapel at 3 p.m. Sunday conducted by the Rev. F. K. Ward. Burial will be in the Baker cemetery.
