Peter served with the 54th Virgina Regiment , Company C and enlisted at Christiansburg on September 10,1861. He contracted Typhoid Fever and died in Montgomery County Virginia on May 14, 1862. His father and mother and Brother Daniel and his family all died of Typhoid Fever that same summer.
