Grandmother Curtis was ninety-two years old and previously resided at 2985 South 8950 West in Magna. At the time of her death, Sena was survived by five children, twenty-two grandchildren, fifty-one great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Sena was born at home in Moroni, Utah, the daughter of John Jens Simonsen and Jensina Jessen.
Sena married Jacob Lehi Curtis on November 11, 1897 in Moroni. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti LDS Temple. Jacob preceded her in death on July 30, 1918.
Sena was a lifelong resident of the Moroni except for the last few years of her life, which were spent in Magna with her children and grandchildren. Sena's main hobby was crafts.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 27, 1966 at 11:00 a.m. in the Moroni East-West Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Moroni. A viewing was held on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home located at 8525 West 2700 South in Magna, and also at the church one hour prior to the services.
