He appeared in more than 200 television shows that included "Barnaby Jones," "Star Trek," "Rockford Files," "Big Valley" and "Cannon". His movie career included more than 20 films, such as "Stagecoach," "The Wild Rovers" and "Rosie". He also wrote plays, film scripts and was founder and co-owner of Theatre West in Los Angeles, California, which provides training for actors. Cause of death, suicide.
