George C. Boyd of 6 Crestview Drive, died in Oil City Hospital at 5:15 am today. He was born in Pittsburgh June 9, 1903, son of Samuel S. and Mary Alice Kreger Boyd.

He came to Franklin in 1933, worked as an expeditor for the Joy Manufacturing Co. for 22 years before retiring. He was a member of Greenfield Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh.

On June 15, 1925, in Pittsburgh he married Florence Hopkins, who survives, with a son, George A. Boyd of Warren, PA; and four grandchildren. Deceased is a brother, Forrest Boyd.

Services will be at 2 pm Saturday in Burger Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Slozat, pastor of Pilgrim Holiness Church, and Rev. H. L. Knappenberger Jr. of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
