He applied for citizenship in November of 1833, and was Naturalized in March of 1838 in Morgan Co, Indiana. He married Hanna Ann HAMPTON on October 4, 1849. He and Hanna eventually moved to Salem, Henry Co, Iowa where most of their children were born. Samuel died on April 11, 1889.
