Abraham Van Doren, was born about 1805, in a town in New Jersey, which then contained but few houses. Coming to Lower Sandusky (now Fremont), Sandusky Co., Ohio, he followed his vocation of shoemaker for many years, and then removed to a farm in Green Creek township, where he passed the remainder of his life.
