Albert Minty, 82, of 316 Colony Lane, formerly of 67 Cedar Road, Holden, Mass., a retired company owner and operator, died Saturday, June 21, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center in Worcester, Mass.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Margaret F. (Dick) Minty; a son, Gordon Minty of Terre Haute, Ind.; two daughters, Anita M. Prunier of Kingsland, Ga., and Janet M. Shirazi of Worcester; eight grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Michael K. Minty, predeceased him. He was born and raised in Swansea, Wales, son of Albert and Margaret (Davis) Minty, and lived in Leicester, Mass., and Holden before moving to Hendersonville in 1985. He was a British Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Minty was a metal finisher for Spencer Plating Co. and then owned and operated the company for several years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Hendersonville Lodge of Elks and a member and past president of the New England Chapter of the American Master Metal Finishers Association.
