Husband of Cora Belle (Ferris) Blocher (1870-1935). Son of John W. Blocher and Mary (Robbins) Blocher. George and Cora Belle were the parents of eight children, none of whom survived at the time of their deaths. Their children included Mary M. and Carrie Belle Blocher.

Obituary:

"George M. Blocher of Eaton, Colo.; died at his home there Saturday morning and the body was brought to Lenox for burial Wednesday. Funeral services were held at the Arnold Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. E. F. Hagee. Burial was made in the Lenox cemetery. Mr. Blocher was about 74 years old and was a former resident of Lenox. Mrs. Blocher died three years ago and is buried in the local cemetery. Although Mr. and Mrs. Blocher had eight children none survive and there are no relatives of the family here."
