George Owen Daily was born Owen Arlee Dalrymple, August 6, 1942, in Comanche OK, to Rosa and Owen Dalrymple. He died peacefully on April 7, 2016 with his wife by his side.

He was a graduate of Lawton High School. Just after High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Where he served his country honorably for 28 years. After retirement, he became a truck driver for JB Hunt Transportation in 1998, where he met his wife, Amanda. In 2000, he started working for Ryder Integrated Logistics, where he stayed until 2010, when he became to ill to work. He loved fishing and enjoyed his fishing trips with his son. He also loved wood working and took great joy in making things, especially for children. The only thing that he ever wanted in return was to see the smile on the child's face when they were given that special toy that he had made for them.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Rae Jacobs-Daily, Texarkana, TX; His son, Craig Alan Dalrymple, Buena Park, CA; Brother, Mark Dalrymple, Rush Springs OK, Brother, Clarence and wife Dorothy Dalrymple, Lawton, OK, Sister, Mona Faye and husband Phillip Archer, Lawton, OK, Brother, Robert and wife Jessie Dalrymple, Rush Springs, OK, Brother, Clifton and Jannis Dalrymple, Land O Lakes, FL, Brother, Douglas and wife Susan Dalrymple, Coweta, OK, Sister, Irene Barrow, Tampa, FL, Sister, Linda Kay and husband Donald Warkentien, Earlsboro, OK, Brother, Michael and wife Melinda Dalrymple, Lawton, OK, and Brother, Danny and wife Patty Dalrymple, Auburndale, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and shipmates.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pat Cooper and Rita May Pittman; and brothers, Donald Wayne and Jesse Allen.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at the Walters Cemetery, in Walters, OK on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. with full Military Honors.
