Daughter of John Holland and Bridget Campbell, Mamie married Daniel Bradley (my maternal grandmother's brother)on December 7, 1922 in Butte, Montana.
While she was pregnant with their only child, she came home from the doctor's office and related to Daniel that the doctor had instructed her to drink a quart of milk a day or she'd die. Daniel was a kidder and teased her about having to drink milk like a little baby. She thought he was serious and even though he bought the milk, she wouldn't drink it, thinking that he didn't really want her to have it. She and the baby both died shortly after he was born.
