"George Lewis, a life-long resident of Schenevus, passed away Monday morning, June 23rd, aged 50 years. The cause of his death was aneurism of the aorta, from which Mr. Lewis has been a sufferer for about a year past, but was able to attend to his work until the last few days. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary Fink and Mrs. Jennie Belyea of Schenevus, and Mrs. Ada Odell of Endicott; four brothers, Thomas J. and Charles of Schenevus, Warren of Maryland and John of Oneonta. The funeral was held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from the Methodist Episcopal church, Rev. A. W. Cooper officiating with interment in Schenevus cemetery."
