Aldora (Kilpatric) Ventress was born on November 30, 1862 in Notasulga, Alabama, the daughter of Isaac Thomas "I T" Kilpatric (1818-1898) and his wife Mielda (Vardeman) Kilpatric (1826–1884). ALdora was one of at least 11 children. [NOTE on the 1st name of Aldora's father - The 1880 & 1900 censuses & his marriage record all have his 1st name as Israel, but his cemetery marker has Isaac.]
She was married to A J Ventress.
Living at Nashville, Tennessee's "Home for the Aged" on Eastland Avenue, Aldora was 75 years old and a widow when she died of a cerebral hemorrhage on March 26, 1938 at Davidson County Hospital. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery.
