LINCOLN, Oct. 9 --- Mrs. Herman Koopman, well known resident here, was found dead in bed at her home, 856 State Street, early Tuesday. She had been suffering of heart disease for several years, but her condition had not been considered serious. Mrs. Koopman spent Sunday with her son in LaSalle and returned home and retired Monday night about 10 o'clock. Mr. Koopman found hear at 5 o'clock Tuesday morning.
The decedent was born at Burtonview, Dec. 17, 1868. Surviving are the husband and following children: Mrs. Leonora Johnson, Emden; Mrs. Pauline Davidson, Minier; Mrs. Carolyn Doty, Oak Park; and Herman Jr., of LaSalle. Brothers and sisters are: Harmon, Louis, and William Schroeder, Miss Anna Schroeder, and Mrs. George Knollenberg of Lincoln; Charles Schroeder, What Cheer, Iowa.; and Mrs. Joseph Altman of Grangeville, Idaho.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the home and at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in charge of the Rev. Paul Brockhaus. Burial will be in [Old] Union Cemetery.
