Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot, and at 10 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, the Rev. George Beth officiating. Internment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Novachek, nee Rose Rezba, was born in the Town of Gibson in 1878, a daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa Rezba. In 1894, she was married to Joseph Novachek. After their marriage, they moved to a farm in the town of Franklin, Kewaunee County, which they operated for 11 years, and then moved removed to a farm in the Town of Gibson. They retired to Larrabee in 1934.
Mrs. Novachek leaves behind her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Otto Strouf and Mrs. Albert Mueller of Larrabee, Mrs. Edward Kane of Stark, Wis., Mrs. Wenzel Knera of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Harold Karbon of Larrabee; and two sons, Edward of Manitowoc, and Joseph Novachek of Larrabee. She also leaves behind two sisters, Mrs. Edward Maly of Francis Creek and Ms. Anna Rezba of Casco; two brothers, John of Manitowoc, and Albert of Francis Creek; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
For many years, Mrs. Novachek was a member of the Altar Society of Holy Cross Church.
Friends may call at the Specht Funeral Home from 7 p.m. Thursday until the time of services. The rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
