DeLores Arlyne Davis
DeLores Arlyne Davis, 66, of Rochester died Thursday August 29th at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
DeLores was born October 13, 1935 in Fox Lake, MN to Percy and Mildred (Bong) Jose and graduated from Truman High School. She and Ernest Davis were married December 30, 1954 in Truman. They lived in Madelia and Minneapolis before moving to Rochester. DeLores worked in food service for St. Charles Public Schools. She also worked for the elderly as a day care companion. DeLores took great pride in helping to shape character in the children she cared for as a day care provider.
Ernest died March 22, 1999.
She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and enjoyed reading, crafts and knitting. She was a member of Harvest Hills Baptist Church and a former member of the St. Charles Bible Church and Meadow Park Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter Darla (John) Sims of Raymore, MO, five sons, Wayne (Nancy) Davis of Plymouth; Rod (Pam) Davis of Albert Lea; Keith of Rochester; Paul (Carol) Davis of Rochester and Brian (Julie) Davis of Rochester, 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister Debbie Damian of Sioux Falls, SD, two half brothers Jim (Jan) Jose of Madelia and Gayle (Peggy) Jose of Arizona, a half sister Kathy Pearson of the Twin Cities.
In addition to her husband two brothers Daryl and Charles and her parents preceded her in death.
