Captain Elijah Glover is the s/o James Glover & Mary (Hill) Metcalf.

He married Nancy Crabtree on 20 Mar 1822 in Hope. She was b 15 Apr 1796, North Haven, the d/o Capt Eleazer Crabtree & Lucy Train.

Nancy & Elijah had 7 children, born North Haven:
1) Susannah "Susan" Glover: 11 Feb 1823 - 26 Feb 1865, Camden
2) Capt Benjamin Franklin Glover: 24 Dec 1824 - 10 Oct 1849, lost at sea
3) Rachel Crabtree Glover: 28 Apr 1827 - 11 Jan 1916, Malden, Ma
4) Ervin or Irvine F Glover: abt 1829 - before 1850 - 1856, Camden
5) Marshall Parks Glover: 20 June 1830 - betw 1920 & 1930, Westborough, Ma
6) Adelaide Harriet Glover: 29 July 1832 - 11 May 1851, Camden
7) Lucy Hill Glover: 3 June 1835- 21 Oct 1913, Rockland

Elijah Glover purchased from Josiah Stimson land in the northeastern part of North Haven which had been in the original ownership of Michael Bowen.

In 1842, he and brother-in-law, Benjamin Crabtree, purchased shares in the Megunticook Bank.

By 1850, the family had removed from North Haven to Camden.

"...resides in Camden, Me, near the steamboat landing. He was for many years a ship master, has acquired a competent estate and retired from business." (Glover Memorials).

Death Record: Elijah Glover died in Camden on 16 Sept 1868 at the age of 76 years 1 month. He was the husband of Nancy Glover.
