Mrs. Nancy Jane Pifer, 79, Port Huron resident 19 years died Monday in her home, 707 Superior street, after a long illness. Mrs. Pifer was born in Canada Sept. 11, 1868 and lived in Fremont before coming to Port Huron 19 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Uries Pifer, a son, Roy Pifer, five daughters, Mrs. John S. Neil, Mrs. Richard C. Moses, Mrs. Earl J. Bechtel, Mrs. Elmer D. Sharette and Mrs. Ford L Kitley, all of Port Huron, 32 grandchildren, and 52 great grandchildren: two brothers, Robert Nugent and John R. Nugent, both of Port Huron,and two sisters, Mrs. William Henry, Yale, and Mrs. Anthony E. Little, Port Huron. The remains will be in the family home until noon Thursday. Funeral servic es will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday in the Arthur Smith funeral home by Rev. W.J. Boyd, Pentecostal minister. Burial will be in North Fremont Cemetery.
