Mr. Towry died Sunday at 2:45 p.m. at his home.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Betty M. Towry; two sons, Readus Towry of Hazel Green and Fred Towry of Huntsville; a daughter, Mrs. James Cantrell of Huntsville; two brothers, John Towry and Rice Towry of Hazel Green; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Stewart of Fayetteville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Aul Davis, Morgan Davis, Elvie Stewart, Vernon Towry, Clyde Slayton, Paul Hunter, Bobby Huffman and Leon Towry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carlton Gipson, Howard McFarland, Elmo Kirkpatrick, Robert Eddins, Charlie Grubbs and Ed Hall.
Laughlin-Service Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
