Marie Stephens, 96, passed away at home in Circleville, OH on Saturday, May 7, 2016.

Born July 3, 1919, in Point Pleasant, WV to the late Simon P. and Anna B. (Rayburn) Turner.

She is survived by her son, Nelson O. Stephens of Stoutsville, Ohio, her granddaughter, Regina Stephens of Circleville, Ohio, three sisters, Ruth Lee of Gallipolis, Ohio, Anna (Ronald) Williams of Ararat, NC, and Bessie Gillespie of Dunedin, FL and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross O. Stephens, one brother Eules Turner, and three sisters, Mary Garwood, Oma Lee Juniper, and Letha Cogis.

The family would like to add a personal thank you to Judy Graham and Brandy Riddle from Amity Home Care for all the years of help. Without them, I could not have cared for grandma at home.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 at Pune Street Cemetery in Gallipolis, with Eugene Zopp officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the DASH Animal Rescue, 13525 Hoover Road, Ashville, Ohio, 43103.

Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home is assisting the family.
