Ruth E. Lee, 87, formerly of Mason County, WV, passed away at Arbors of Gallipolis, February 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 30, 1929, in Mason County, WV, a daughter to the late Simon P. Turner and Anna Rayburn Turner. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Anna Turner; husband, James N. Lee Sr; son, Michael Kevin Lee; brother, Eules Turner; sisters, Marie Stephens, Mary Garwood, Oma Juniper, and Letha Wamsley Cogis.
She is survived by her son, James Lee Jr of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; daughters, Margaret G. Shuler of Henderson, WV, Carolyn Bush of Point Pleasant, Brenda Neal of Tennessee, Susan Cutlip of Gallipolis Ferry, Edna M. McCoy of Henderson, WV; sisters, Anna Williams of Mount Airy, NC, and Bessie Gillispie of Geneva, OH; as well as several grandchildren, and other extended family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, Friday, February 10, 2017, at 2 PM, with Rev. Jack McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Flatrock, WV. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Friday, from 12-2 PM, prior to the service.
