He was a native of Dalton GA a son of the late Walter and Bessie Warren Dupree and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Dupree operated Raymond Dupree State Farm Agency in Fort Oglethorpe for more than 34 years. He was a member of the Dalton Lodge # 105 F& AM and the Thompkins Lodge # 466 F&AM and a former member of the Fort Oglethorpe Kiwanis Club.
Raymond enjoyed Fishing and Gardening and in more recent days Antiquing with his wife.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years Jeanette Wilson Dupree, son Bryan Dupree daughters Sonya ( Mike) Howard and Vanessa ( Stanley) Grell all of Ringgold; brother Robert ( Louise) Dupree of Apison; sisters Zelma Dee Trantham of Tunnel Hill and Demple Terrell of Dalton; grandchildren Sara and Hannah Gillespie, Noah, Ava and Alexa Grell; Great- grandchildren Briley Cropper, Callie Mae Gillespie, Levi and Gabriel Swain. Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe with Rev Jason Thomas officiating. The body will lie in-state from 10-11 am Thursday at the church. Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens South. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Builders Sunday School Class.
