Edward Aungier, 97, of 164 Kenmore Ave, died June 29 at his home. A native of Lafayette, he had resided in Syracuse for 38 years. Mr. Aungier was a retired foreman for the State Highway Department, and was formerly employed as a mail carrier in Lafayette. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Lafayette, and of Our Lady of Lourdes in Syracuse, and a member of the Holy Name Society. He is survived by two sons, Bernard Aungier of Lafayette, and William H. Aungier; by a daughter, Mary O'Hara; by a sister, Margaret Corl of Homer; and by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at Our Lady of Lourdes, where a mass of Christian burial was celebrated.
