Born near Middleburg, Ohio to the late George C. and Elizabeth Stanford Ackley on Feb 5, 1934, George Lee Ackley passed away on May 5, 2016 in Marysville, Ohio.

George married the former Peggy J. Black on June 3, 1956 at the Springdale Baptist Church. She preceded him in death July 1, 2011. Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Paul Frankland.

A U. S. Army Veteran, he was a member of Springdale Baptist Church. George retired from OM Scotts as a professional truck driver and dispatcher. He and his wife enjoyed travelling to Europe and Hawaii.

He is survived by two daughters, one son and one daughter-in-law. Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive him.

Burial will follow at Mt. Herman Cemetery.
