Dennis “Butch” Ellis, age 77, of Keota, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Keota Health Care Center.
Butch was born February 6, 1939, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa and received his education in Keota Schools. Butch had served in the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman, loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and enjoyed NASCAR racing.
Butch is survived by two children, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, six sisters and three brothers.

KEOTA-Dennis "Butch" Ellis, age 77, of Keota, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Keota Health Care Center.
Butch was born February 6, 1939, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa and received his education in Keota Schools. Butch had served in the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman, loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and enjoyed NASCAR racing.
Butch is survived by two children; Tony (Laurie) Ellis of Ankeny; Trisha (Rick) Meyer of Austin, MN; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six sisters Barbara Gore of Manning, Dorothy Schwab of Keota, Sally Snow of Keota, Mildred Yoder of Wellman, Donna Baker of Fremont, NE, Beverly Butner of Fremont, NE; and three brothers Larry Ellis of Keota, Terry Ellis of West Chester and Richard Ellis of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Georgia Ellis and four brothers-in-law.

Funeral services are pending at this time.
