A native of Halifax County, N. C., she had been a resident of the Peninsula for 60 years. She retired from A.C. Electric Inc. in 1979 after 22 years of service and was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee B. Andleton. She will be greatly missed by three daughters, Lela A. Ford, Grace A. Gunter, both of Newport News, and Vicky Sheldon of Yorktown; two sons, Earl B. Andleton of Littleton, N.C., and Aubrey L. Andleton of Hampton; 15 grandchildren; 29 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 tonight, Feb. 28, at Peninsula Funeral Home. The celebration of her life will be conducted by the Rev. Eleanor Hartman at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Peninsula Funeral Home. Her essence will live in our hearts forever. Burial will be at Peninsula Memorial Park. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity and would also like to thank the staff of Northampton Convalescent Center.
