NEWPORT NEWS - Lee B. Andleton, 85, a Halifax County, N.C., native and a Peninsula resident for 48 years, died Sunday, Sept. 26. Mr. Andleton was an employee of the Newport News Parks and Recreation Department and retired after 30 years of service. He was also a member of Morrison United Methodist Church.

Survived by his wife, Ola W. Andleton; three daughters, Lela A. Ford and Grace A. Gunter, both of Newport News and Hilda A. Sheldon of York County; two sons, Aubrey L. Andleton of Hampton and Earl B. Andleton of Littleton, N.C.; three sisters, Estelle A. Searls and Musie A. Ballard, both of Hampton and India A. Powell of Annapolis, Md.; four brothers, Charlie Andleton of Hampton, Clayton Andleton of Newport News, Eugene Andleton of Portsmouth and Paul S. Andleton of Maderia, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service 11 a.m. Tuesday in Peninsula Memorial Park by the Rev. H. Jack Lynch.
Visitation 7:30 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 618-J.Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, 23601. Arrangements by Peninsula Funeral Home.
