"Four on Plane Die in Flaming Colorado Crash COLORADO SPRINGS Colo. (UPI) A private plane crashed and burned trying to land at Peterson field municipal airport east of here Friday, killing all four persons aboard. The plane, a red and white single-engine Beech Bonanza was registered to Arnold E Teske and Harold Robertson both of Rochester, Minn. The dead were tentatively identified as Teske, Rochester, Minn., contractor and real estate man; Delores Walch of Rochester, a friend of Teske, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Yocom of Minneapolis. The four were reported en route to Rochester after visiting the world's fair at Seattle. The federal aviation agency said at Albuquerque the plane took off from there at 3:20 p.m. for Colorado Springs after arriving from Phoenix Ariz., and refueling. The flight plan listed Teske as pilot and said there were three passengers. Authorities here said the plane approached Peterson from the west for landing about 8:40 p.m., but was waved off on its first approach because of construction in progress on the runway. The plane banked to the right for another approach, then lost control and went down. The crash occurred about a mile from the Peterson field control tower and within sight of tower personnel, who said it went into a sudden spin. The tower had no radio contact." --"Albuquerque Journal" Albuquerque, NM. pg. 1 of July 28, 1962 edition.
