My grandmother, Vera (Phillips) McCaskill was the 3rd of 10 children born to Ella Mae (Harmon) and James Massena Phillips.
She and Boyd Willard McCaskill were married August 19, 1925 in Garvin County, Okalhoma.

Mrs. Vera McCaskill, 79, died April 10 in a Wynnewood Nursing Home. Funeral services were Tuesday, April 12 in First Baptist Church in Davis. Rev. Finis Steelman officiated and interment was in Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Born March 16, 1909 in Dallas County, TX, Mrs. McCaskill lived in the Hennepin and Davis areas when she was young. She returned to Davis in 1964 to maker her home.
She married Boyd McCaskill August 19, 1925 in Katie. He preceded her in death June 2, 1965.
Survivors are four daughters and two sons, Doris Meador, Beth Wiggin and Jerry McCaskill, all of Davis, Dorothy Jones, Odessa, TX, Laveta McCormick, San Antonio, TX and John McCaskill, Oklahoma City; three sisters, Albia Hill and Anna Shields, both of Davis, and Wahniece Snider of Arlington, TX; one brother, Roy Phillips of River Bank, CA; 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bob Bolton, Wayne Womack, Buddy Vinyard, Royce Dale Jones, Gary Freeman, Gilbert Jenkins, Tobe Womack and Jimmy Dale.
