Al Mullican, 80, Leawood, Kan., died Saturday, May 14, 2016, at his home. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, where the visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Luke's Hospice or to any Animal Shelter of the donor's choice. Al was born July 3, 1935, in Corsicana, Texas, and had lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He had worked in the sales department at PBI Gordon Chemical Company retiring in 2004. Al was a member of Cure of Ars and had served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953-56. He was preceded in death by daughter, Jennifer Mullican and three sisters. Al is survived by his wife of 35 years, Maggie Courtney Mullican of the home, son and wife, David and Janella Mullican, Perris, Calif., grandchildren, Christine and David, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Billie Courtney, Nora Courtney, Bob Courtney, Jack and Carol Courtney and many special nieces and nephews.
