Alfred Reinemann

Alfred Reinemann, 80, of 1225 College Ave., Howards Grove, died at this home, Wednesday morning, after an extended illness.

He was born February 2, 1908 in Cleveland, a son of the late George and Emma Sachse Reinemann. He attended Center School in the Town of Centerville.

On June 5, 1935 he married Elvira Hackmann, at St. John’s Reformed Church, in Centerville. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1985. After marriage, Alfred and Elvira lived in the Town of Centerville, where he had a milk hauling route for the Modern Dairy Co. In 1946, they bought a farm in the Town of Herman, where they farmed until retirement in 1972. After retirement, Alfred continued to work part-time for the Village of Howards Grove. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Howards Grove, where he served as an elder. He also enjoyed league bowling in his spare time.

Funeral services for Mr. Reinemann will be held Friday, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Howards Grove, Rev. Henry Juroff, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Zimmer Funeral Home, in Howards Grove, on Thursday, from 4 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Eugene, of Rt. 4 Plymouth, Wayne, of Franklin and Lyle, of Howards Grove; 11 grandchildren, one brother, William Reinemann, of Cleveland; four sisters, Mrs. Elva Kautzer, of Sheboygan; Mrs. Anita Anger, of Sheboygan; Mrs. Alma Langenhahn, of Newton and Mrs. Matthew (Ruth) Schwartz, of Newton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roland.

A memorial fund has been established in his name for St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Howards Grove.
