Susan House was a talented, kind, loving woman. Among other things, she was a writer. She wrote beautifully about many things including people, her family, just about any and everything, and her poetry was flawless. I met Susan back in 2002-2003, through the Neighborhood Writing Alliance, a wonderful organization that held writing groups throughout the city of Chicago at branch libraries. The Neighborhood Writing Alliance published The Journal of Ordinary Thought. Their theme, "Every Person Is A Philosopher", rang so true when it came to Susan House. She could write about cats, or dogs, or, even strangers on street corners, and the reader could be right there with her, in that place, through her writing. She headed the group I was in, and her kind help, support, and encouragement will always be remembered and appreciated. Thank you Susan. She was sweet, and funny, and extremely gifted. She was a gem!

I found out today that Susan passed away. May you rest in heavenly peace dear Susan. The thoughts, words, stories, and some laughs that I had the honor of sharing today will never be forgotten. Nor will you be forgotten Susan, we love you. Rest in peace.
