Georgeen M. (Trinka) Tienor, age 84, of 538 Monroe St., Reedsville, died peacefully with her daughter at her side, Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.
Georgeen was born May 26, 1931, in Grimms, a daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Mullins) Welch. She graduated from Valders High School with the Class of 1950. On June 11, 1952, she married Frank D. Trinka at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1969. On September 8, 1972, she married Eugene P. Tienor, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reedsville. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2015.
Georgeen worked as a waitress at supper clubs in Green Bay before moving to Reedsville where she and her husband Frank owned and operated Trinka's Bar for several years. After running the bar, Georgeen also worked for nine years at the Manitowoc Company before retiring. She was a longtime member of American Legion Post #199 Auxiliary, the Friends of St. Patrick's, the Preservation of St. Mary's, and the Red Hatters. Georgeen had many hobbies she enjoyed which included playing cards, dartball, bowling and camping with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Roxanne (Trinka) and Allen Riesterer of Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Brooke Riesterer, Milwaukee, Ryan Riesterer, Manitowoc, and Dana Riesterer, Milwaukee; and four super great grandchildren: Noah, Aubriana, Breon, and Alanna. She is further survived by many sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Joan (Larry) Bradley, Barb (Dave) Zambon, Neva (Gordy) Hanke, Bob (Ann) Trinka, Rose Ann (Paul) Gintner, Catherine (Lloyd) Cook, Arlein (Robert) Werdeo, Theresa (Robert) Rabe, Judith (Marvin) Kandler, Julia (Charles) Peppard, and Sharon Halbach; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Trinka; second husband, Gene Tienor; her brother, LeRoy (Grace) Welch; her sister, Darlene (Phil) Mullins; her father & mother-in-law, Anton and Esther Trinka, and Peter and Isabel Tienor; her grandson Ryan's significant other, Perla Arostegui; and several brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Holy Family Parish, 1100 West Ryan Street, Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Reedsville.
