Norwich - Agnes Fontaine Kelly, 90, previously of Taftville, died peacefully on May 20, 2016, in the company of her children.

The daughter of the late Wilfred and Anysie (Pare') Fontaine, she was the beloved wife for 49 years of John "Jack" F. Kelly, who predeceased her in 1996. Agnes and Jack were communicants of Sacred Heart Church and active members of community organizations in Taftville. Agnes was an educational assistant in Norwich and Project LEARN in East Lyme. She also taught religious education at the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford.

Agnes married George I. Chaput of Norwich in 2000; he passed away in 2009.

A wake will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 at the Godere Funeral Home, 21 North 2nd Ave., Taftville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25 at Sacred Heart Church (Taftville), followed by a committal service at St. Joseph Cemetery, Greenville.
