Charles Muni of Burlington Township died Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He was 80.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Muni was a longtime resident of Burlington Township.
Charles served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Korean War.
He had a long career, and was well-known in the garment industry. At the time of his retirement, he was the vice president of quality control for Jones New York, working in both Philadelphia and New York.
Charles was a very meticulous person whether it be his appearance (he was always known as a sharp dresser), his lawn, or the fact that he was a very detail-oriented person. He enjoyed food, and was always ready for a well-prepared meal. He also enjoyed crabbing in his spare time. He was the type of person who would always put other people first. However, he will most be remembered as someone who loved his family deeply.
Charles is survived by his wife, Mary (Cianfrogno); his son, Kevin Muni, his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Kevin Johnson; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Ruth Muni, and David and Lynne Muni; his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Allen Moore; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His family extends an invitation to join with them for his viewing and funeral service. The viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, at the Full Gospel Fellowship Church, 1607 Jacksonville Road, Burlington (Springfield Township), where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Mausoleum entombment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Mausoleum, Route 130 and Beverly Road, Burlington.
