Jacob M. Mundell of Lafayette, IN passed away on May 21, 2016 at Indiana University Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN. He was born on November 25, 1922 in Frankfort, IN, the son of Jacob and Ada Pollard Mundell. He married Brenda FitzHenry in Rock Island, IL on December 23, 1968 and she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Karren (Walter) Kowalski of Castle Rock, CO; two sons, Craig Mundell of Frankfort, IN and Eric (Jonathan) Mundell of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren, Kyle (Amy) Kowalski and Devin (fiancé Tara Slattery) Kowalski; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and three sisters.

Jacob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Pharmacist Mate. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Rankin, IL. Mr. Mundell was a member of the Rankin Lions Club, Old Rails, Frankfort American Legion, Frankfort Eagles, and was a legislative representative for UTU. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, working in the yard, and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Memorial funeral services will be at 11:00 am CST on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church in Rankin, IL. Pastor Jennifer Hartweg-Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Rankin Union Cemetery in Rankin, IL with graveside military rites provided by the Cissna Park American Legion Post #527.

Visitation will be from 9:00–11:00 am CST on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church in Rankin, IL.
