Owen A. Mundell, 100, Kokomo, went to be with the Lord at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at Howard Regional Health System. He was born July 15, 1906, in Clinton County to the late Jacob M. Mundell and Ada Ethel Pollard Mundell. On April 16, 1927, he married Mildred D. Mundell at First Baptist Church in Forest. She preceded him in death, January 1, 1994.
Owent was a set-up person at Continental Steel for 42 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of the Fairfield Christian Church and United Steel Workers 1054.
He is surviveed by sons, Max M. (Nita) Mundell, Oakford, Donald (Pat) Mundell, Kokomo, Richard L. Mundell, Moffat, Colo., Jerry J. (Sue) Mundell, Windfall, and Ricky R. Mundell, Moffat, Colo.; daughter, Judith A. Flick, Kokomo; sister, Lucille Martin, Kirkland; brother, Jake Mundell, Lafayette; 26 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred; one son, Billy; one daughter and son-in-law, Maxine and Don Conner; two daughters-in-law; three grandsons; three granddaughers; four brothers; one sister; two brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Pastor Keith Cramer officiating. Burial will be in Albright Cemetery, Kokomo. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Children?s Ministry of Fairfield Christian Church.
