She was born Oct. 8, 1919 in Federalsburg, MD, the daughter of the late William Richard and Sarah Elizabeth Russell Handy. Her husband, George E. Adams, preceded her in death June 17, 1975. She worked for the former Excelsior Pearl Works in Federalsburg for 23 years. She was also employed by B&G Pickle Co. in Hurlock, MD. She attended His Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Federalsburg.
She is survived by three daughters, Delores A. Beebe of Harrington, DE, Gloria Jean Cannon and Vivian Adams, both of Federalsburg, five sons, George Adams or Frankford, DE, Gary Adams of Rocky Mt., NC, Larry Adams of Seaford, Marvin Adams of Dover, and Steven Adams of Federalsburg; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson. Twelve brothers and sisters preceded her death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 15, 1999 at 3:00 PM at the Frampton-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD. Interment will follow the Concord Cemetery near Federalsburg, MD. Friends may call Sunday from 7:00-9:00PM at the funeral home.
