PELICAN, LA - Elmo L. Bridges, 88, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016. He was born in the Wallace Community on November 9, 1927. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery in Shreveport, LA. Rev. Bob Moore will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home in Shreveport beginning at 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

Elmo was a Veteran of the US Army and was employed by Bell South in Shreveport for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie Mae Bridges and his wife, Mary Lou Williams Bridges. He is survived by brothers Robert Bridges and wife Sue, Willis Bridges and wife, Delores, David Bridges and wife, Sandy; sisters Maxine Evans, Marilyn Lively, Johnnie Cole and Nell Maines, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Honoring Elmo as pallbearers will be Scot Maines, Chris Bridges, Beau Litton, Justin Cole, Angelo Chamberlain, Angelo Chamberlain, Alan Maines, and Robert Maines.
