Marilyn "Meme" Lively, of Keithville, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 29, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born May 18, 1935 in Pelican, Louisiana to Annie Mae and John Bridges Jr.
Marilyn was a loving mother, granny and meme. She enjoyed gardening, crafting and sewing. In later years, she liked doing her word find books and spending time with her cats. Most of all, she adored her family. She was a hard worker. Marilyn worked for many years at Western Electric (AT&T) until retiring holding many jobs in the company. She was dedicated to her faith, attending and teaching Sunday School at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church for several years.
She was preceded in death her husband, Rupert; parents; brother, Elmo Bridges and sister, Johnny Bridges Cole.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sandra McClain and husband Dwight and Bryon Lively; grandchildren, Michael McClain and wife Sarah and Lisa Rainer and husband Tommy; great grandchildren, Heather French and husband Kaleb, Jared Rainer and wife Beth, Braden Rainer, Tristan McClain, Christopher McClain, and Shawn McClain; great great grandchildren, Hadrian French and Audrey Rainer; brothers, Willis Bridges and wife Delores, Robert Bridges and David Bridges; sisters, Maxine Evans and Elizabeth Nell Maines along with numerous nephews and nieces.
The family would like express a special thank you to Sarah McClain for her loving care and devotion given to Meme during her illness.
