Born Jan.30, 1929 at North Branford, CT to Ruth & Ellsworth Foote & died May 27, 2016 at home in Hudson, FL having had Alzheimer's for several years. She obtained a degree from Larson College (now Quinnipiac) and worked as a lab tech at Yale prior to getting a Masters Degree from University of Connecticut in Biology where she then taught Botany& Biology as a Professor. She was one of the best teachers as judged by letters from students and their mothers. Her husband, Harold, also taught at UCONN. Her father had been a US Congressman. Roberta ran for Congress in 1984 almost upsetting the existing Congressman. She spent time as the Chairman of the Coventy CT town council. She met 5 US Presidents. Her sister Anne Floyd lives in Hudson, FL and brother Richard Foote lives in North Branford, CT. Brother Robert already passed. Malia Allen & Lisa Dumas, her daughters-in-law, live in Oregon. She was very good as an artist having obtained many blue ribbons for her paintings. She spent a year in Taiwan with her husband while he worked for the UNDP. They traveled to many other countries.
