Charlie Black, 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012. He was born on March 27, 1929, to Melvin and Laura Mitchell Black in Vina, Ala. He was a member and a former deacon of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Dr. Don Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Emerial Black of Golden; son, Tommy Black (Angela) of Red Bay, Ala.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dora Black Upton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
