Lester H. Eslinger, 65, of 16819 Tannery Rd., Mishicot, died early Friday morning, June 26, 1992, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Creeks. Rev. Maurice Hoppe officiating with burial at Mishicot Public Cemetery, with military graveside rites.
He was born in the town of Mishicot, June 8, 1927, son of the late Ervin and Libby Zimmerhakel Eslinger. He was married on April 28, 1954 to Arlene Junk. She preceded him in death in April of 1962. On April 24, 1965, he was married to Jeanette Betty Basken at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Denmark. He farmed on the homestead farm his entire lifetime. Mr. Eslinger served with the United States Army in Korea. He was a member of Mishicot V.F.W. Post 7753. He is a 28 year member of the National Farmers Organization and a member of Mishicot Senior citizens.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Russell Slager of Menchalville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Kim of Green Bay, Mike and Patty Eslinger on the home farm, rural Mishicot; a stepdaughter, Carol Van Price of Chandler, Ariz.; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Anne Basken of Colona, Ill.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Lorian Eslinger of Manitowoc, Edward and Carol, Raymond and Marlene Eslinger of Mishicot, Leonard and Dorothy Reindl of rural Two Rivers; a sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Delmar Horstman of Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry, an infant brother and sister.
Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
