Matilda Gilbert, age 76, of 4200 Calumet Ave., Manitowoc, died Monday, February 24, 1992, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Gerald Foley and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot, Wis.
She was born October 15, 1915, in Mishicot, Wis. She is the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna Fliegel Hall. She married Clifford Gilbert on May 12, 1934, in Two Rivers, Wis. He preceded her in death in 1986.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, John (Jack) and Carol Gilbert of Mishicot, Fred (Moose) and Linda Gilbert of Tacoma, Wash., Peter and Virginia Gilbert of San Diego, Calif., Glenn and Kathy Gilbert of Manitowoc; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Rita and David Walsh of Carson, Calif., Lila and Bill Ryder of Romeoville, Ill., Nancy Danbrove and her fiance Christopher W. Thomas D.C of Manitowoc, Bonnie and Daniel M. Guralski of Reedsville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dolly Bonfigt of Manitowoc; Dorothy and Roland Baker of Manitowoc, Eleanore and Robert Stever of Ludington, Mich.; 25 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Hall and one sister, Martha Feuerstein.
There will be no Tuesday evening visitation. The Jens Funeral Home of Manitowoc is asssiting the family with arrangements.
