Born March 14, 1905, in Ottati, Italy, he lived in the Valley most of his life.
He owned and operated Gaines Ornamental Iron Works, East Deer, for 50 years, retiring in 1985.
Mr. Guadagno was a member of Holy Martyrs Roman Catholic Parish, Sacred Heart-Saint Peter Worship Site, Tarentum.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, working and helping friends with projects.
Survivors include a son, Louis A. Guadagno of New Hamburg, N.Y.; three daughters, Mrs. Lois M. (Bernard) Walker and Mary Louise Vincola, both of Tarentum and Mrs. Joan F. (Lawrence) Santelli of Columbus, N.J.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Giuseppe "Joe" Guadagno of Flushing, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian P. Vagnone Guadagno; a granddaughter, Kathryn Walker Kazaros; his parents, Louis and Maria Guadagno; three brothers, Carl, Nick and Attilio Guadagno; and three sisters, Mathilda and Lettizia Grieco and Raphael "Felucia" Guadagno.
Relatives and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 10th Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, where a blessing service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart-St. Peter Worship Site, officiated by the Rev. Aaron J. Kriss, parochial vicar of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Natrona Heights. Burial will be in Mount Airy mausoleum, Natrona Heights.
