Louis Guex, 65, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Town of Gibson for more than
a quarter century, operator of a threshing outfit covering the
northern part of the county, died at 12:30 a.m. Monday at his home.
He had been troubled with a heart condition for the past two years.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Specht Funeral
Home, Mishicot, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Catholic Church, the Rev.
George Beth officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery,
Mishicot.
Mr. Guex was born in the Town of Gibson August 9, 1891, son of the
late Louis and Hortense Bessard Guex.
On July 16, 1916, he married the former Lillian Krajcarek at Greenstreet,
Town of Cooperstown, where Mr. Guex began to operate a threshing outfit
which he headed for more than 25 years. For eight years prior to his
illness two years ago, he was employed at the Manitowoc Engineering Works.
Eight years ago, he and Mrs. Guex moved to the Town of Gibson where he
resided since.
Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Mrs. Leland Anderson of
Manitowoc, Mrs. Warren Craft of Milwaukee, Mrs. Hoyle Eivins of Los
Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Clifford Beck of Green Bay; three sons, Milton
of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, John of Shawano and Richard of Milwaukee; a brother,
Edward Guex of Rt. 1, Mishicot; and 12 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday where the
rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
