Dewey W. Kasten, age 98, formerly of 3517 Twin Bridge Road, Mishicot, died early Friday morning, May 31, 1996, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, 1996, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson. Rev. Maurice Hoppe will officiate with burial in the Mishicot Public Cemetery.
Dewey was born April 27, 1898, in the town of Gibson, son of the late Albert and Wilhelmina Ott Kasten. He married Edith Burt at Gibson, November 27, 1923. She preceded him in death February, 1977. He farmed the home farmstead his entire lifetime. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Everett and Joanne Kasten, Mishicot; a daughter, Mrs. Esther Pleuss, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandaughter (sic). He was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.
Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. Monday until the time of services.
Memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund would be apprecited (sic).
