WENCEL KOUBA JR. (d. 1966)
Wenzel Kouba(sic), 83, formerly of the Town of Gibson, died Monday after a
lingering illness. He was born June 10, 1882 in Czechoslovakia and came to
the United States in 1903. He settled in the Town of Gibson where he was
engaged in farming and masonry work. He married Agnes Peterka in Chicago and
she died in 1943.
Among the survivors are five sons, James, Joseph and Edward, Chicago, Henry
of Maribel, Jerry of Route 1, Manitowoc; four daughters, Mrs. William (Ann)
Roth, Green Bay, Mrs. Clarence (Agnes) Schneider, Maribel, Mrs. Gerald (Elsie)
Sullivan, Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Edwin (Sylvia) Wanek, Francis Creek; a brother,
John, Rt. 2, Two Rivers; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Krajnik, Maribel, Mrs. Joseph
Krizek, Manitowoc; 26 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A sister
preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church,
Mishicot, the Rev. Anthony Betley officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
