Sarah Virginia Copeland, 96, a retired school teacher, passed away Friday Sept. 9, 2005 in Granbury.
Funeral; 11 a.m. Tuesday at Whites Azle Chapel. Burial; Alvord Cemetery. Visitation; 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Sarah was born Aug. 28, 1909 to Henry and Dora Dooley in Decatur. She was a member of the Ash Creek Baptist Church, served on the Library Board and devoted many hours to the Harris Hospital Auxiliary. Sarah was instrumental in the organization of the Azle Library. She was named First Lady of Azle by Beta Sigma Phi in 1984. Sarah moved to Granbury in 1997. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, a son and an infant daughter.
Survivors; Niece, pat Logan of Granbury, and other nieces, nephews and family members.
